Event information: OneStar Disc Golf & Victoria Parks and Recreation are honored to bring you the TAAF Winter Games of Texas!!! This year’s event for TAAF is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the games!

The 2025 TAAF Winter Games of Texas (DISCGOLF) will be held Saturday, January 18th in Victoria, Texas utilizing Riverside & Fox's Bend DGC. The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation is a nonprofit organization established in 1925 to promote, organize and conduct amateur athletics in the state of Texas.

The Disc Golf Portion of the event will be run by Onestar Disc Golf. Our mission is to create and maintain a permanent representation of Disc Golf during the TAAF Winter Games & establish the highest ideals of amateur sports in the State of Texas; promote the development of physical education & enforce the PDGA rules during event.

This event will be played on beautiful Riverside DGC & Fox Bend!

2 rounds of Team Doubles.

All participants will play - Riverside D.G.C. & FOX BEND D.G.C.

ROUND 1 - A-POOL / MIX: Fox's Bend D.G.C. / B-POOL: Riverside DGC (RED SHORTS)

ROUND 2 - A-POOL / MIX: Riverside DGC (LONGS) / B-POOL: Fox's Bend D.G.C

Headquarters: RIVERSIDE #6 SHADY CHILL (Between Lions Pavilions across from Texas Zoo)

FORMAT: (BYOP) DOUBLES

BEST SHOT: pick the best throw from one of the team members as its lie.

ALTERNATE SHOT: alternate shot is just what is sounds like. Teammates just throw disc between them taking turns throwing alternating shots until the hole is complete. Prior to playing the first hole, the teammates determine which player will tee off then they alternate every shot. (Order must be followed throughout course holes determined)

BEST SCORE: Each teammate plays the hole individually and the best score is kept.

7:45am - 8:30 - CHECK IN: (Team Member #1 please check in for your team, get your players pack and please turn in and/or fill out your TAAF acknowledge form and vote for best team name! (Player’s guide and TAAF form will be emailed prior to event to prefill)

8:30 - Players Meeting (Mandatory)

ROUND 1

- A-POOL / MIX: Fox's Bend D.G.C. 1-12 (BEST SHOT) 13-18 (Best Score)

- B-POOL: Riverside DGC (RED SHORTS) 1-12 (BEST SHOT) 13-18 (ALTERNATE SHOT)

LUNCH – 1hr after last card finalized.

ROUND 2

- A-POOL: Riverside DGC PRO (BLUE LONGS) 1-12 (Alternate Shot) 13-18 (Best Shot)

- B-POOL: Fox's Bend D.G.C 1-12 (BEST SHOT) 13-18 (Best Score)

- MIX-POOL: Riverside DGC (RED SHORTS) 1-12 (Alternate Shot) 13-18 (Best Shot)

Hole assignments will be posted on Face Book, UDISC and onestardg.com Friday night.

***If you would like to open round 1 with a team of your choice please reach out to me prior to Thursday night. 2nd round assignments will be set based off score

Medals for Top 3 teams in each division (PRO / AM / MIX)

***Must Have 3 Teams to open a division.

This will be a rain or shine event.

GENERAL RULES:
All PDGA Rules will be followed to promote fair play for all disc golfers. If any point in dispute is not covered by the rules, the decision is made in accordance with fairness.

The TWO-meter rule IS NOT IN EFFECT!

OUT of BOUNDS (806.02 Out-of-Bounds): Roads, Parking Lots, River, Lake, “Pylons and Beyond” if not marked. Painted Lines, Flags, stakes.

(806.02 Out-of-Bounds) C: A disc that cannot be found is considered to be out-of-bounds if there is compelling evidence that the disc came to rest within an out-of-bounds area. In the absence of such evidence, the disc is considered lost and play proceeds according to 805.03.

805.03 Lost DISC: (3) minutes to locate (everyone must HELP! ), if determined lost proceed to previous lie w/ one stroke penalty.

804.01 Mandatory Routes: A mandatory route restricts the path the disc may take in the process of playing a hole.
The restricted plane is a vertical plane marked by one or more objects or other markers which define the edges of the space.

RIVERSIDE Hole Specific Rules:
● Hole 7 – ISLAND –MARKED BY LINE; OB is Marked. Throw from Drop Zone if Tee
Shot lands OB. Subsequent shots thrown OB should be marked where
disc was last in bounds.
● Hole 10 – Every Division plays 10 short (349ft)
● Hole 11 – OB - Pavilion Surrounded by fence, Parking Lot (MARKED)
● Hole 12 – ISLAND –MARKED BY LINE; OB is Marked. Throw from Drop Zone if Tee
Shot lands OB. Subsequent shots thrown OB should be marked where
disc was last in bounds.

All other holes follow general rules and PDGA rules.


FOX BEND Hole Specific Rules:
-Hole 7: MANDATORY (2)! First Mando Right of marked Tree, if missed RE-TEE,
2nd Mando Right of Marked Tree fairway, if missed proceed to Drop Zone (DZ)

Hole 8: 806.02 Out-of-Bounds (H) - Take 2 meters from River Edge
-HOLE 10: MANDATORY left of marked Tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.
-HOLE 11: HAZARD (806.05) Lake in front of Basket; Play disc as it lies with (1) Stroke penalty if complete surrounded by hazard.
-HOLE 12: 806.02 Out-of-Bounds (H) - Take 2 meters from River Edge
-HOLE 13: MANDATORY Right of marked Tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.
O.B. right of Fairway, marked by paint & white stakes. Big Drop off BE CAREFUL!
-HOLE 16: MANDATORY left of marked Tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.
-HOLE 18: MANDATORY (Double) marked Tree; Use Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.

All other holes follow general rules and PDGA rules.

- Cash to Pin C.T.P. ($5 per player) Just like traditional CTP but will payout cash to the player closest to the designated hole during event! 1 CTP per round - Onestar Disc Golf will match pot if ACE is hit on CTP hole during that round!

*We will have a couple of Optional Buy In's per player available the day of the tournament so bring a few extra dollars! Also if you are interested in holding a side game to raise money for your non profit, club, or cause please reach out!
